Visiting Tokyo made a lifelong dream come true. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been addicted to Japanese cartoons like Pokémon and Dragon Ball Z, and spent countless hours immersed in video games on my Super Nintendo and Game Boy Color.

Japan, and Tokyo in particular, always felt like a magical world to me, one that I had longed to experience firsthand.

This is a city where tradition and modern life meet and blend in quiet, fleeting moments. Walking its streets felt like stepping into two worlds at once: the ancient and the futuristic.

Every corner held something surprising, something to marvel at.

During my time in Tokyo, I made sure to visit all the main places that had captured my imagination for years.

Shibuya was a whirlwind of energy. Standing in the middle of the famous Shibuya Crossing, surrounded by waves of people moving in every direction, was like being part of a living, breathing organism.

The bright neon lights, the gigantic screens flashing ads and music videos, and the endless flow of life left me in complete awe.

Shinjuku was equally mesmerizing. Its vibrant nightlife, towering skyscrapers, and maze-like alleys offered a contrast of experiences. I wandered through Golden Gai, with its narrow bars and retro vibes, and felt transported to another era.

I also explored Omoide Yokocho, the famous and nostalgic alleyway filled with tiny eateries and smoky yakitori stalls, where the scent of grilled meat and the lively chatter of locals and tourists created an unforgettable atmosphere.

Akihabara was a dream within a dream. As a lifelong video game lover, this place felt like paradise.

Multi-story stores filled with manga, figurines, vintage video games, tamagoshis, and the latest gadgets stretched as far as the eye could see.

I could have spent days there, getting lost among the colorful chaos.

I stayed in a hotel right beside Tokyo Dome, just steps away from the subway station. The location was perfect, it made exploring the city so easy.

The atmosphere around the Dome, buzzing with energy and excitement, added a special touch to my stay.

Every minute I spent in Tokyo was pure joy. Whether I was savoring a bowl of ramen in a tiny shop, drinking lots of matcha lattes, or simply riding the silent and efficient trains, I felt deeply connected to the city.

Tokyo was everything I had imagined and so much more. I left with a full heart, countless photos, and a renewed sense of wonder. And I know this for sure: it won’t be my last visit to this city.
